3.  Make plans to keep your pet safe.

Public shelters do not allow pets.  If you evacuate to a shelter make arrangements for your pets.

4.  Stock extra supplies - Batteries, water and canned food

5.  Secure your home - Board up windows and secure loose yard objects

6.  Fill your car with gas - Power outages may cause gas stations to be closed.

7.  Get extra cash - Power outages may cause banks and ATM's to be closed.

8.  Check on your neighbors - Particularly the elderly or disabled.

9.  Use your NOAA weather radio - Stay alert to weather advisories.
